44. Canoeing the Gorge

WATERFALLS


The family enjoyed canoeing through these falls.


 

ANCIENT WATERHOLE

As I went for a few walks along the tracks that follow the edge of the river I discovered evidence of Aboriginal occupation of the area. These were the shells of mussels that the locals have eaten here for thousands of years. After further investigation I found that these shells had been carbon dated to 30,000 years.
